Terms of Use

Products for Humans Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 08654264, VAT registered. Russ Hepton is the sole director and the senior product designer behind every case study on this site.

By browsing hepton.design or submitting anything to it, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t, please don’t use the site. We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top tells you when they last changed.

You may read, share links to, and quote short extracts of this site for non-commercial purposes — for example, a portfolio review, a hiring shortlist, or a public mention with a credit and a link back. You agree not to attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at industrial scale, use automated tools to harvest content, or use it to train commercial AI systems without prior written permission.

Unless stated otherwise, all writing, case-study narratives, photography, video, illustration, and front-end code on hepton.design is © Russ Hepton / Products for Humans Ltd. Client and employer logos, trademarks, and product screenshots remain the property of their respective owners and are reproduced as portfolio evidence with permission or under fair-dealing principles.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, republish, or adapt substantial portions of this site without prior written consent. For licensing requests, email russ@hepton.design.

Some case studies include a form for former colleagues to submit a short “team video” clip. By using that form you confirm that: (a) you appear in the recording and have the right to share it; (b) you’re happy for it to be shown alongside the relevant case study on hepton.design; (c) the content is honest, lawful, and respectful of the people and clients involved; and (d) you’ll let us know if you change your mind so we can take it down.

You retain ownership of your submission and grant Products for Humans Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and excerpt it on hepton.design and Russ’s associated portfolio channels (for example LinkedIn or a conference talk). We may decline or remove any submission at our discretion.

Booking a call via Calendly does not create a contract or commit either side to anything beyond turning up to a conversation. Paid work — whether a Sprint, Embedded engagement, Audit & Rebuild, or day-rate retainer — is governed by a separate written contract signed by both parties, typically operated outside IR35 via Products for Humans Ltd. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer, a quote, or a binding commitment until a contract is in place.

Some pages link to third-party sites — LinkedIn, YouTube, GitHub, articles, client products. We don’t control those sites and we’re not responsible for their content, accuracy, or how they handle your data. Visiting them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

We work hard to keep the site accurate and up to date, but case studies describe past projects and the products described may have since changed, moved, or shut down. We don’t guarantee that any specific outcome described here will repeat on a future engagement, and we don’t guarantee that the site will be available without interruption.

The site is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Products for Humans Ltd accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, anything published here. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
